August 9th was National Book Lovers Day and we want to acknowledge and celebrate the power of books. Books can transport you to another time or another place. Books can inspire you or challenge you. Books are an opportunity to learn and explore. Books come in so many formats, audio, digital, picture, graphic that anyone can find something just right for them. If you haven't picked up a book in a while we encourage you to do so. It will not only change your life, but those around you.
- Support your local library so everyone has the same opportunities
- Recycle your books with neighborhood book swaps
- Join a book club to meet people and share ideas
- Volunteer to read to children or the elderly
