Book Lovers Put Down Your Phone and Celebrate National Book Lovers Day

August 9th is National Book Lovers Day and we want to acknowledge and celebrate the power of books. Books can transport you to another time and place. Books can inspire and challenge you.  Books can encourage you to learn and explore. Books come in many formats; audio, digital, picture, graphic that anyone can find something just right for them. If you haven't picked up a book in a while, today is the day. It will not only change your life, but those around you.

• Support your local library so everyone has the same opportunities
• Recycle your books with neighborhood book swaps
• Join a book club to meet people and share ideas
• Volunteer to read to children or the elderly
• Follow your dream and write your own book
